Have you ever felt like a square peg in a round hole? I feel you. I was never quite a "normal horse girl". I used to get bullied for being a bit "different". For the duration of my teens I was too afraid to be myself in the equestrian world.

I think I can speak for most of us when I say that my Heart Horse saved me - Cracker. He taught me to have the confidence and discipline to believe in myself. He taught me to pick myself up and keep going when times were difficult.

He taught me patience, kindness, and trust. He shaped my soul, and without him I wouldn’t be who I am today. I know you have felt this with your horse too.

Now that I’m older, I feel so empowered to be unapologetically me. The tables have in fact turned and people describe me as fierce, tenacious, alternative and sassy. I still definitely don’t fit in to the traditional “equestrian norms”. And I’m PROUD of that.
